The method can be used on many different types of specimens, including fine needle aspirates, cerebrospinal fluid, serous and synovial fluid, and urine.

Cyto centrifuge is suitable for smears of all body fluid cells such as cerebrospinal fluid, puncture fluid, sputum, bronchial fluid, urine, ascites, pericardial fluid, joint cavity fluid, pleural fluid, retinal cells, bone marrow.
